Attractions/Events
If you can pull yourself away from the beaches and bars for a few hours, there are many amazing attractions to discover after arriving on cheap flights to Tenerife. Some are natural wonders, others are man-made havens designed to entertain the whole family.
Mount Tiede – The imposing presence of Mount Tiede makes it a must visit attraction for anyone holidaying in Tenerife. It is the highest mountain in Spain and attracts throngs of visitors each year.
Loro Parque – A mix of the natural and the man made, Loro Parque is a wonderful zoo that boasts an impressive and eclectic mix of exotic animals. It is a great day out, appreciated by all the family.
The Aqua Park – One of two very impressive water parks on Tenerife. The many outdoor slides and pools make this a great day out for all the family; just make sure you have plenty of sun cream.
Siam Park – The second of the water parks, this is just as impressive with its choice of slides and pools but the Thai theme gives it plenty of character.
Orotava Valley – This is an attraction more for the adults. The vineyard offers some excellent wines available for tasting whilst also giving those interested a chance to learn more about the wine making process.
Events
Tenerife Carnival – This is without a doubt the biggest event on the island. Running from February to March, the carnival transforms the whole island as parades, street parties and carnivals spill out from everywhere. The capital is the best place to be to absorb it all.
Guimar Carnival – Taking place in February this is a little like Halloween with witches costumes abounding and plenty of ghoulish fun to be had.
Whilst we have picked out two of the most popular events in Tenerife there are regular fiestas throughout the year ensuring that, whenever you arrive on cheap flights to Tenerife, you are likely to encounter and enjoy some sort of funfare.
